Went through DALL-E 3 once, the architecture itself isn’t hard, the hard part is all the training and optimization details. You need to understand the discretization line first — VAE, VQVAE, VQGAN — figure out why images get compressed into discrete tokens, why generation happens in stages, and then the architecture diagram makes sense. Don’t just dive straight into the paper.
