Sora's dead, and Jimeng can't sit still? That's some serious clickbait right there.

“Sora is dead, Jimeng can’t sit still” — these headlines are basically the same formula as that whole “dead or alive” wave from a few days ago. You can tell the video model competition narrative is really heating up.

Honestly, saying “Sora is dead” is just clickbait. A product losing hype is a million miles away from being actually dead. But the “Jimeng can’t sit still” part might actually reflect real competitive pressure — all these domestic players are chasing each other, nobody dares to slack off. For us users, this is a good thing. The more they compete, the better and cheaper stuff we get.

That said, I’m kinda getting tired of these “life or death” headlines. Do you guys actually click on them, or do you just scroll past when you see this kind of stuff?

LMAO, “can’t sit still” — OP uses that word like they’re in a race against time or something.

It’s a win for users when companies compete, let them clickbait all they want.

Soon as I see the words “dead” or “died”, I just scroll right past.

Popularity cooling off and being dead are two different things, don’t mix 'em up.

There’s definitely some pressure from Jimeng, but it’s not as dramatic as the title makes it out to be.

Clickbait feels great in the moment, but you burn through trust real fast.
