The hype around Sora has died down, and now Seedance and Kling are going their separate ways—pretty obvious shift honestly. From a storyboarding perspective, I think it’s actually a good thing they’re splitting off in different directions. Each tool has its own strengths, so we can pick whatever works best for the job.

Personally, when I use video models, it’s mainly for rough storyboard drafts and testing camera movements. Kling and Seedance each have their own quirks in my hands. As for this “fork in the road,” my guess is one’s leaning toward realistic cinematic vibes, while the other’s going for consumer-friendly quick output. But we’ll only really know how it plays out once we start using them. Anyone else here been using both long-term? Tell me what scenarios each one fits best—I’m trying to lock down a solid workflow.

Branching out is a good thing—more tools means more options to choose from.

Personally, I find Kling’s camera movement way more intuitive.

Wait, Sora’s already done? The iteration speed is insane.

Honestly, the storyboard drafts are good enough for now. But the final output? That’s a whole different story.

Seedance, hurry up and render the image, I’m dying trying to meet this deadline.
