Wall Street Journal just posted that Google’s upgrading their popular image tool Nano Banana — they’re saying it’s got Pro-level capabilities with Flash speed, and it’s hitting Gemini and Search on Thursday. Sounds impressive, wanting both power and speed, but who knows if they can actually have their cake and eat it too.

I do comics and use image gen tools a lot for reference and rough drafts, so if it’s both fast and detailed, that’d save me a ton of time. But I always take official hype with a grain of salt — I’ll believe it when I actually get my hands on it after launch.

It’s pretty convenient being integrated right into search, you can just generate images on the fly.

Yeah, using these tools for finding references when drawing comics really saves a ton of time.
