Lately everyone in the community’s been buzzing about MJ’s new dynamic style feature—supposedly it can blend aesthetic styles into your concept in real time, so you don’t have to keep tweaking prompts over and over. As a concept artist, my first reaction was half-believing, half-doubting. Back in the day, just to get one satisfying concept image, I’d have to go back and forth adjusting style weights a dozen times, jotting down all the parameters and keywords in a little notebook.
If it can really grasp that vague vibe you have in your head, that’d definitely save a ton of hassle. But what worries me more is that once it auto-mixes styles, the image might go out of control and become unreproducible—concept art relies on style consistency across a project, so too much randomness is more trouble than it’s worth.
I’ll wait until I’ve run it on an actual project to judge the results. For now, just from the official description, it feels like a step forward from v7’s earlier dynamic composition, but not exactly revolutionary.
