Scrolling through the morning news and saw something I actually care about: Midjourney’s official Chinese version is now in closed beta. I’ve been using the web version before, all English UI, tons of abbreviations in the parameters. It’s a real pain when onboarding newbies on my team—I have to spend ages explaining what --ar and --stop even mean.

Now that they’re releasing an official Chinese version, at least the interface and docs should be smoother. But I’m more curious about how to apply for the beta, how many slots there are, and whether the Chinese version has full feature parity with the original—any difference in image quality?

The English UI is definitely a turn-off for newbies, so having a Chinese version is a good thing.

As a student, this hits hard. Just explaining all the parameter abbreviations took up an entire class.
