At my age, I’m pretty clueless about all this new stuff. I usually just like to write and paint, but my grandson set up Jimeng for me so I could mess around with generating some ink-wash animations. Now that Jimeng AI’s been officially released, people are asking if ByteDance can catch up to Kuaishou in video models.
I don’t know the tech side, so I’ll just share how it feels to use it. This thing is really beginner-friendly for us old folks—just type a few words and it starts moving, way less hassle than when I learned Photoshop back in the day. As for who’s better between ByteDance and Kuaishou, I can’t say, but competition is always good for us users.
When they’re chasing each other, the products just keep getting better and cheaper. I just hope they make it even simpler and bump up the font size. What do you young folks think—who’s got a better shot?
