I think this direction is way more valuable than just generating pretty pictures. For architecture or outdoor compositing, if the lighting direction’s off, the whole vibe falls apart. Before, you’d basically just gacha-style re-roll and hope for the best. Being able to isolate light direction as a controllable variable is a godsend for commercial use.
The creator says they’re already working on v2, planning to add control over light hardness, color, and intensity. If they can pull that off, it’s basically a mini lighting studio. Definitely keeping an eye on this.
