During my kid’s nap, I tried out one of those type-to-generate-image tools, just jotting this down real quick.
Typed in some plain everyday sentence describing what I wanted, and in under a minute there was a picture right in front of me. Don’t need to know how to draw, don’t need to understand any parameters — apparently it’s built on diffusion under the hood, I don’t really get the tech, but it works.
Then I made a few illustrations for the stories I usually make up to get him to sleep. When he woke up and saw them his eyes lit right up, way faster than me digging through picture books trying to find something.
Not every image comes out right, you gotta run it a few times and pick. But for someone with zero art background like me, it’s more than enough.
Anyone else doing this while looking after their kid? What do you use it for?
